Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, is one of the most common finds from Viking Age Scandinavia — pendants shaped like it have been recovered from graves and hoards across Scandinavia, the British Isles, and beyond, dating roughly from the 9th to 11th centuries. Ravens carried their own weight in the period too: raven banners are recorded being carried into battle by Viking-age leaders, and ravens feature throughout Old Norse literature.
